About the Process
- Step 1: The process begins by prepping the surface. That can mean masking off areas that will not receive the transfer as well as base coating the item with the correct color backing.
- Step 2: The film is cut to the appropriate size to accommodate whatever part is being coated.
- Step 3: The film is placed in the water tub to hydrate for the appointed amount of time
- Step 4: Once the film is hydrated, activator is applied as instructed by the film's manufacturer.
- Step 5: After the activator had done it's work the part is dipped through the now liquified ink and attaches to the part.
- Step 6: The item is rinsed to remove any excess film that may be clinging to the surface.
- Step 7: The item is allowed to dry to the desired level.
- Step 8: The desired finish is applied to the surface.
